Privacy Policy
Last updated: 9 October 2026
This Privacy Policy covers every product published by Obroh: ODS (Obroh Download Suite), OMS (Obroh Media Player) and OBSWAD(Obroh Swarm Dev), together the “Services”. It explains what we collect, why, how it's used, and the choices you have. Where a section applies to only one product, it says so.
1. Who we are
Obroh (“we”, “us”) is based in Nigeria and builds consumer software distributed primarily for Android (ODS, OMS) and Windows (OBSWAD). This policy is written to be read together with each product's in-app disclosures, which take precedence for anything specific to that product.
2. Data we collect
Account & identity. ODS and OMS create a device-linked account using Firebase Authentication (anonymous by default). If you add a profile — name, email, phone number, photo — that information is stored against your account. OBSWAD does not require or create an account at all.
Usage & diagnostics.App version, OS version, crash reports and coarse feature usage (e.g. which screen you opened), used to fix bugs and understand what's used. We don't track browsing outside the apps.
Content you process. ODS processes the public links you paste in order to fetch the media at that link; it does not access private, password-gated or deleted content. OMS indexes media already on your device and any streams you open. Link history is kept on-device (and, for signed-in features, against your account) so you can find it again.
Wallet & payments. Plan status, vPT token balance and transaction history are stored against your account. Card, bank and mobile-money details are collected and processed directly by our payment processors — Paystack and Flutterwave — under their own security and privacy terms; we only receive a transaction reference and status, never your full payment credentials.
Support. Messages, attachments and diagnostic details you choose to include when you contact support or open a ticket.
Push notifications.A device token (via Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can deliver notifications you've asked for or that relate to your account, such as a support reply or a plan change.
Advertising (free plan). Free-tier screens in ODS and OMS may show rewarded or banner ads served by third-party ad networks, which can collect device identifiers and coarse location for ad delivery and fraud prevention under their own policies. Pro/Plus/Studio/Master plans remove ads.
OBSWAD specifically. If you add a cloud AI provider (Claude, OpenAI, OpenRouter, Groq, Gemini, or a custom endpoint), the API key you enter is stored only in your operating system's secure credential storage on your own machine — it is never sent to Obroh. Prompts and file content you send to that provider go directly from your device to the provider you chose, under that provider's own terms; we never see or store them. The bundled offline model runs entirely on your device and sends nothing anywhere.
3. How we use data
- Operate the core features of each product (downloads, playback, the editor and its agent).
- Maintain your wallet balance, plan status and transaction history.
- Provide support and respond to tickets.
- Send transactional notifications (support replies, plan changes, important announcements).
- Detect, investigate and prevent fraud, abuse and security issues.
- Improve reliability and performance, using crash reports and aggregate usage.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles outside of the third-party ad networks disclosed above.
5. The vPT wallet and blockchain
vPT is an in-app utility token used for Pro features, rewards and driver/creator incentives across the suite. A BEP-20 contract exists on BNB Smart Chain for transparency, but normal wallet activity inside the apps is tracked in our own database, not on-chain, and does not require you to manage a crypto wallet or seed phrase.
6. Data retention
We keep account and wallet data for as long as your account is active, and financial audit logs for longer where required for accounting, tax or fraud-prevention purposes. You can ask us to delete your account and associated personal data at any time (see Section 9); some records may be retained where we have a legal obligation to do so.
7. Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls on our backend systems, and an append-only audit log for every financial mutation. OBSWAD stores any AI provider keys using your operating system's own secure credential store. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's privacy
Our Services are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required by your local law). If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live (including under Nigeria's Data Protection Act and, where applicable, regulations like the GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these, email privacy@obroh.com or use in-app support — we will verify your request and respond within a reasonable time.
You can also manage most of this yourself: delete your link/download history in-app, revoke an AI provider key from OBSWAD's settings at any time, or opt out of promotional notifications from Settings.
10. International users
Our backend infrastructure may process and store data outside your country of residence. Wherever your data is processed, we apply the protections described in this policy.
11. Changes to this policy
We'll update the date at the top of this page whenever this policy changes, and for material changes we'll make a reasonable effort to notify you in-app.
12. Contact us
